“Pretend Play is using imagination to move beyond the bounds of reality. A stick can be a magical wand, a sock can be a puppet and a small child can be a superhero.”

A story telling session comes alive through a puppet show as puppets are great tutors and they encourage creativity to a different level.

On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Marydalians were exposed to a new spectrum of learning through a puppet show. A story ‘The Kind Elephant’ was narrated to kids via a puppet show and offered them an entertaining approach to learning.

Alongwith improving their listening skills, students learnt about different emotions and values. It was an overall enthralling experience for students.

Animal Homes

‘A twig, a leaf, a rock, a pebble, mud, a whole lot of hardwork and efforts can turn ordinary earth into a beautiful home!’

Just like all of us, nature’s creatures have homes which are often masterpieces to shield and keep them safe.

The event was the conclusion to the theme ‘Animal Kingdom’ as it reinforced student’s learning. The students were mesmerized to see the different habitats and easily associated them with the animals.

Story Telling

“Story time is not for sitting quietly, it’s for bringing stories to life in a whole new way.” Good stories not only surprise us but also make us think and feel.
On January 17, 2024, students of Sr.KG enthusiastically participated in ‘I am a Storyteller’ and narrated stories with inspiring and motivating morals.
Creative props, confident expressions and amazing voice modulations paired with mind blowing actions, donned their story narration.
Story telling helps in enhanced imagination, visualisation of spoken words, improved vocabulary and developing refined communication skills in students.
